Clapham is a lively and sociable town, split into three main areas: there’s Clapham High Street and Clapham Common, while Clapham Junction lies at the heart of this vibrant area. The area is full of independent shopping parades, intertwined with wonderful patisseries, cafés and, of course, our wonderful Slug and Lettuce.
Clapham is best known for the vast green space of Clapham Common, its vibrant high street and the village-like atmosphere of its historic Old Town. It is also home to Holy Trinity, the Georgian church on Clapham Common.

We are located within 100 metres of Clapham Junction, making us the perfect place to fuel up before a hard day at the office, a quick bite on your precious lunch hour or that relaxing post-work wind-down drink. We have a wide range of bottled and draught beers and ales from all around the world, fantastic-quality wines (all bottles £10.95 each on a Wednesday) and delicious cocktails (2-4-1 cocktails Thursday–Saturday, from 4pm), so we are sure to have something to suit everyone’s taste.
With our many screens (allowing you to view from wherever you might be standing), we are also the perfect place to come and watch the match, game or race. We are dedicated to bringing you a fantastic and vibrant atmosphere to watch any live sporting event, including those in 3D! Top that all off with a team of friendly and dedicated staff – and it is obvious that The Slug and Lettuce deserves its place as one of Clapham’s most popular venues.
