St Albans has evolved from being a quaint medieval market town and coaching centre to a modern and contemporary place that oozes character and has plenty to offer. From its independent shops, boutiques and twice-weekly traditional market, to Verulamium Park, historic St Albans Abbey and the Alban Arena Theatre it’s all here. All you now need is somewhere to unwind after a hard day out and about!
The answer, naturally, is The Slug and Lettuce, St Albans - a former art gallery right on Victoria Street just opposite the Maltings shopping arcade. Whether you’re dropping in for that pre-shop breakfast anytime from 10am, or taking time out for lunch or an evening meal, our comfy bar, raised dining area and plasma screen for sporty types is all ready and waiting. You never know, you might even have time to sample one of our classic cocktails. And what better place to enjoy that than on our sun-soaked terrace where, even when the sun dips down, our heaters will keep you glowing!
