Salisbury is a small city, set on the edge of the Salisbury Plain. We have the tallest cathedral spire in Europe, within 10 miles of which stands Stonehenge. We have a bustling market twice week and a French produce and local farmers' market, each month. The Slug and Lettuce is situated next to the River Avon, the perfect place to sit, while enjoying a cold drink.
The market square is the site of many an event, from a funfair to the Saint George's day celebrations with knights in shining armour and fair maidens. We are within driving distance of the stunning Dorset coast and a train journey to London. Salisbury racecourse, on the outskirts of the city, has regular meetings, including family days. We have a very well-equipped tourist information office in the city centre, as Salisbury is a "must stop" for hoards of tourists from all over the globe.
