Welcome to Liverpool, European Capital of Culture for 2008, home to two premiership football teams, the city which gave the world Gerry & The Pacemakers, Merseybeat, The Beatles and The Zutons! Most importantly, it is home to The Slug and Lettuce which has become a firm favourite in the area.
Just round the corner from us is Matthew Street, home of the world-famous Cavern Club (where The Beatles first performed). Shopping is great, with all of the famous names, the Albert Dock (home to Fred's weather map), The Beatles museum, the Matthew Street Music festival in August and we host the world-famous Grand National.
The city is undergoing a massive regeneration for 2008, with an £8-million boutique Beatles-themed hotel opening next door! The Liver Birds still watch over the city, and you can even take a ferry across the Mersey. We're open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and go right through to the early hours of the morning, the perfect destination for drinks and some fabulous food. With a 340-capacity club in our secret basement, you can dance the night away and even book the club for a private party, with no hire charge!
Regards from Jackie and the team |
