“Fantastic! Last night at the Slug was one of the best evenings I have had all year. Right from our arrival we were treated in a professional and friendly manner, with the staff assisting us in anyway they could. Ensuring we got the best deals on our drinks and running us through the menu we would be tasting. WOW, when the platter arrived we were amazed, having expected a small dinner plate with tiny micro dishes on it – a huge platter with genorous helpings was very well recieved. The food was outstanding; it was extremely difficult to find fault with any of the dishes! We were given plenty of time to enjoy it and when we had finished, I was expecting some pressure to order a meal (panicking slightly that we would be forced to and wondering how i would fit a meal in). But I didnt need to worry, there was absolutely no pressure for us to order anything else (although we had a few naughty puds!). Anyway, Bravo to the chef and the staff at Leeds, they were a credit to the Slug and Lettuce and we will certainly be returning soon for some more food…only problem is, now we have tasted how lovely everything is on the menu it will be incredibly difficult to pick just one dish! “I was invited to a taster evening, so along with six members of my family(including two children aged 4 and seven) I accepted the invitation. From the first phone call (I rang to ensure children were welcome, and spoke to Ben) we were treated brillantly. We were met most warmly and shown to our table, and then served the most delicious food by very attentive staff. We already gave our feedback for the food, we were all discussing what we were going to choose next time we visited. “It's the first time i've been to slug and lettuce. The fish pie I had was fab and very much the comfort food I needed.
