Slug and Lettuce was ‘born’ in 1985 – the concept dreamt up by entrepreneur Hugh Corbet. Hugh’s background lay in the wine trade and he wanted to create a bar where great wine and food were as important as good beer.
Today's Slug and Lettuce sticks by those priorities but offers plenty more besides. The focus is on efficient friendly service, high quality recognisable products and an inclusive, familiar atmosphere that promotes a safe and comfortable environment for all our customers.
Slug and Lettuce is owned by Bay Restaurant Group, one of the leading companies in the casual dining market operating three industry-leading restaurant brands. Bay’s restaurant business currently comprises Slug and Lettuce bars, ha ha bar & grills plus La Tasca restaurants.
