Southend is a Seaside town in Essex, and is home to Southend Pier; the world’s longest pleasure pier at 1.34 miles, and is located near to the Kursaal bowling alley and Peter Pan’s Playground. Southend is also home to Southend Football Club, and the University of Essex. Southend is served by two main line railways; the National Express East Anglia from Liverpool St and the C2C line from Fenchurch Street.
The town also boasts the Festival of the Air every May – one of Europe’s largest free airshows. If shopping is your thing then the town has two shopping centres; Victoria Plaza and The Royals. Is a night at the theatre is your thing, then why night take in a performance at The Cliffs Pavillion?
