Tri Nations Rugby and Breakfast

Tri Nations Rugby, All Blacks v Australia 8am

“William Webb is often credited with the invention of running with the ball in hand in 1823 at Rugby School when he allegedly caught the ball while playing football and ran towards the opposition goal. Although the evidence to support it is doubtful, the Ellis story was immortalized at the school with a plaque unveiled at the school in 1895. In 1894, the first rules were written by pupils; other significant events in the early development of rugby include the Blackheath Club’s decision to leave the football association in 1893 and split between rugby union and rugby league in 1895.”

187 years on we can still enjoy the game of rugby with the Tri Nations tournament in its 15th year fought between New Zealand, South Africa and Australia. The games are a hard affair and has left it mark in history as to have been some of the greatest games every played.

Slug and Lettuce Milton Keynes will be showing all the games live on the big screen so come down and be part of history in the making.
