Welcome to Liverpool - European Capital of Culture for 2008 and home to two great Premiership football teams. This is the city which gave the world Merseybeat including The Beatles and Gerry and The Pacemakers, plus, latterly, The Zutons! Most importantly it’s also home to The Slug and Lettuce – another legendary local favourite!

Just round the corner from the Slug is Matthew Street, location of the world-famous Cavern Club where The Beatles first performed. Our city centre shopping is great featuring all the famous names. Then there’s the Albert Dock (home to Fred's floating weather map from ITV’s ‘This Morning’), The Beatles museum, the Matthew Street Music festival in August plus our world-famous Grand National.

2008 has seen the city undergoing massive regeneration including an £8 million Beatles-themed boutique hotel opening next door. The Liver Birds still watch over the city, and you can still take a ferry across the Mersey. We're open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and go right through to the early hours of the morning, the perfect destination for drinks and some fabulous food. With a 340-capacity club in our secret basement, how about dancing the night away and even booking the club for a private party?

Regards from Jackie and the team
